If you have ever dreamed of a retreat, this would be it. Sitting on a lonely island in Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay, 'Clingstone' has survived over 100 years of buffeting waters, rain and wind. It cost just under $40,00 to build at the turn of the century, but was purchased for just under $4,000 in the early '60s. Man, I wish my parents had been at the real estate office that day to swoop in and offer $5, 000! Every year there is a work weekend to keep the mansion at its best, drawing in 70+ friends and family to do jobs like refinish floors, wash windows, and ready the boats. {another thing I think could be Incorporated into our life~get ready for the annual Bohemian Hellhole Work Weekend extravaganza!}
