So I have been scouring the internet with yet another mid century question. What door options do I have besides horrible hollow core doors in a 50's ranch while still remaining true to the feel and look of that period? I have found nothing about doors. Not one post, just a sad question or two on a forum. Is everyone content with those peely veneery doors that have ghosts of stickers on them and the occasional hole or dent from some accidental impact? This article about a portland house features some five panel doors, but the whole house has been 'updated' so it's not really about being mid century anymore, its about having money to redo your house.
No, I am not interested in some kind of paint and applied molding technique, which always looks less than desirable.
Thoughts? Ideas? Inspiration photos?
Still looking, Alice
